I listen to music a lot. My tastes are broad, and sometimes a little odd. Here is my Spotify playlist.
Buffy the Vampire Slayer is a mild obsession of mine.
I support Celtic football club.
Coffee competes with early series geeky Willow for being my first love. In Leeds, I like to get it from Opposite, Mrs Athas, and Laynes.
Politics is a big thing for me. I'm a socialist and a member of Counterfire. I'm on the local committee of my union, UCU (all UK-based academics should join this). I have a short book on Christianity and Marxism coming out in 2020.
I'm a Catholic and a Lay Dominican. I'm formation officer and a council member of the London fraternity. I tend to go to St Anne's, Keighley. I'm a member of the Catholic Theological Association.
I have bipolar disorder, which has led me to be interested in mental health issues. I've written a bit about this; I'm particularly keen that people take seriously the social background of mental illness without descending into anti-psychiatry.
In spite of having a severe case of computer geekery, I have the design ability of a particularly unartistic newt. I am therefore extremely grateful to the fabulous Lea for help with this website. You should visit her page.
